"Good spot for a rest on a long road trip. Instructions for room key were clear & concise. The room was clean & tidy, & the bathroom well maintained for an older property. The bed was comfy & aircon cold. The only problem was the shade-sail above unit's car park is not weatherproof & I got wet putting my luggage into my car. Otherwise a great spot for a good night's rest. Only a short drive into town for anything needed. Next trip I'll plan to arrive earlier to get a mango sorbet from the Big...

"Classic 1960's motel with views! An original gem, very well kept. I hope they never change it. It's a North Queensland icon. It's out of town but very handy if you're staying enroute to somewhere else."

"Very clean room and areas surrounding, also a very thoughtful manager. We were running a bit late, so he called us to ensure all was well and made accomodations for us. No hesitation at all in highly recommending this motel. Also, a very affordable tariff."

"Limited time here, the restaurant and bar was closed and we had little dealings with the reception/staff. Large, clean room with easy accessibility. As for outside there was a mass amount of large beetles everywhere and no one was really around to clean them up a little."

"Friendly bar staff to check in and the meals were great. Good water pressure in the shower except it kept going to cold unsure if it was because others were using the hot water off and on. Bed was lumpy and I awoke with a sore back. Electric jug was provided but would have to get water from the separate bathroom. No cups provided for coffee. Thin walls meant next door's tv was very loud. But it was a welcome bed for the night on our long journey."

"We had a pleasant night staying at the Grand Central Hotel but there was 2 small issues. 1. No fault of the pub but take ear muffs for a good night sleep. For a small town Proserpines main street is very busy at night. 2. Some advice for the Pub Manager please ad add curtians or block out the small glass panel above the doors of the rooms to block out the hall lights when they come on. Lovely atmosphere friendly staff and food was lovely. Please g"
